Feeding Australia’s Search and Rescue Dogs

ROYAL CANIN® is very proud to announce a new sponsorship with SARDA (Search and Rescue Dogs Australia).

As a global leader in pet health nutrition, ROYAL CANIN® will provide precise and individualised nutrition for every SARDA dog in Australia to ensure they are in excellent health for their training and important work.

SARDA is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides specially trained search and rescue dogs for Australian Emergency Services to assist in locating missing persons. Employed in a wide range of emergency situations around Australia, these incredible dogs use airborne scent to locate victims that may be lost or trapped as a result of explosions or natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides and fires.

Deploying a Search and Rescue Dog Team to assist emergency services is a highly skilled and expensive operation. Training dog handlers, dogs and support members takes hundreds of hours of training, often in inhospitable and dangerous conditions. The wonderful volunteers and members at SARDA sacrifice their own time, comfort and money in order to provide this essential service to the community.

Without government support, the organisation relies heavily on fundraising activities and the generosity of the public.
