About the role

The purpose of this role is to grow the Pro Business, through customer acquisition as well as partnering with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention; to be a catalyst for overall business growth via our recommendation model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and recommendation growth with Pro customers against set targets.
  • Analyse sales data to understand customer purchasing habits to enable us to better meet the demands of our customers.
  • Ensuring existing customer activation is maximized.
  • Develop and maintain a programmed cycle of service calls to promote the company’s products, campaigns and launch NPD.
  • Build relationship with Brand Ambassadors, State bodies and sponsored clubs by regularly engaging with these key stakeholders, identifying and implementing training, marketing and recommendation opportunities.
  • Attend events as required to represent Royal Canin and to build our brand image and reputation at these events and build our customer base.  This may require weekend work for shows and some other events. 
  • Maintain detailed records of all service calls in the CRM including follow up required.

Time Orientation

  • 50% in field with PRO Customers developing and building the business
  • 50% in the office, analysing sales data, customer contacts, customer service follow up, administration, booking appointments, call reports

NB: This role requires some travel, weekend work and nights away.

Key skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' sales experience, ideally in territory roles in the pet industry.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales targets
  • Superior relationship building and networking skills
  • Data analysis and business insights experience 
  • Sound prioritising, planning and administrative skills
  • Drive for customer service excellence
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
