Our team of animal lovers who are passionate about cats and dogs make Royal Canin what is today: A professional, well respected business that has experienced rapid growth.
That’s why we invest in developing our people and work hard to maintain a work place that hits the right note between professional and fun. But don’t just take our word for it. Meet some of the people that make us who we are. Watch this space - we will be adding new profiles regularly!
I began as the National Field Sales Manager for the retail business in Australia in 2010, and was lucky enough to be offered a promotion to take over the sales and operations of our New Zealand business in 2012. A move across the ditch with wife, kids and dogs in tow has been an amazing experience for all of us.
With visits to Shanghai (twice), Bangkok, Koh Samui, Hong Kong and France as part of my work travels, opportunities to learn from Harvard lecturers and amazing global networking opportunities, Royal Canin has truly been a remarkable place to work.
Every day is challenging and different, but even the challenges are enjoyable because of the team at Royal Canin.
With a diverse, passionate, animal friendly bunch all committed to the success of Royal Canin, making the decision to come and work here has been my best career move yet. I’m excited about the future and what opportunities it will bring.”
- Darren Dempsey, Sales & Operations Manager, Royal Canin New Zealand
I have been working for Royal Canin for almost 18 years and started in the New Zealand office. In March 2013, I moved across to Melbourne to look after the professional channel – working with breeders, kennels and catteries, as well as government agencies for both countries.
Royal Canin has enabled me to combine my passion with my career, as I have been breeding and showing winning Dobermanns for almost 30 years. I have represented New Zealand at Crufts and have been humbled by winning many Best in Show, as well as Dog and Puppy of the Year and having 5 Grand Champions. I have had the pleasure of seeing the benefits of feeding Royal Canin first hand, utilising our range of dedicated breeder products.
It is a great place to work and has allowed me opportunities to travel to many parts of the world including Shanghai, Singapore, Bangkok, Paris, Montpellier and Dublin. Royal Canin has such a strong culture of dog and cat first that it perfectly aligns with my love of dogs. Working as a passionate team is a priority at Royal Canin and many people that I work with are friends, not just colleagues. Being a part of Royal Canin’s success in Australia and in New Zealand is extremely rewarding.
