Vision Australia's Seeing Eye Dogs (SED)

SED iis the only national provider of dog guides specially bred and trained to act as Seeing Eye Dogs for people who are blind or have low vision. These unique dogs provide the gift of independence and freedom in day-to-day life by becoming the ‘eyes’ of a person who is blind or has low vision.

ROYAL CANIN® is the official provider of precise nutrition for every puppy and dog in the Seeing Eye Dogs training and breeding programs.

It costs more than $50,000 and takes up to two years of intensive training for one Seeing Eye Dog to graduate.

Partners for over a decade

Royal Canin and Seeing Eye Dogs have been partners since 2006. Since then, Royal Canin has provided over 270,000 tonnes of precise nutrition for every puppy and dog in the Seeing Eye Dogs training and breeding programs.

Donation Dogs

Meet the Seeing Eye Dogs Australia donation dogs. These dogs didn’t go on to become Seeing Eye Dogs for various reasons, but they still have a vital role to play.

The donation dogs all have paywave EFTPOS machines on the back of their coats. When you see one out in public, simply 'pat & tap'. Give the dog a pat and tap your credit card to support the incredible journey of another Seeing Eye Dog.

Search and Rescue Dogs Australia (SARDA)

Search and Rescue Dogs Australia (SARDA)

is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides specially trained search and rescue dog support to Australian emergency service organisations.

These incredible dogs use airborne scent to locate victims that may be lost or trapped as a result of explosions or natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides and fires.

As a global leader in pet health nutrition, Royal Canin provides precise and individualised nutrition for SARDA dogs to help ensure they are in excellent health for their training and important work.
