SEDA is the only national provider of dog guides specially bred and trained to act as Seeing Eye Dogs for people who are blind or have low vision. These unique dogs provide the gift of independence and freedom in day-to-day life by becoming the ‘eyes’ of a person who is blind or has low vision.
ROYAL CANIN® is the official provider of precise nutrition for every Seeing Eye Dog and dog in training.
It costs more than $50,000 and takes up to two years of intensive training for one Seeing Eye Dog to graduate.
We are celebrating 10 years of partnership with Seeing Eye Dogs Australia (SEDA). Since 2006 we've fed almost 1,000 dogs.
Meet the Seeing Eye Dogs Australia Donation Dogs. These Dogs didn’t go on to being Seeing Eye Dogs for various reasons, but they still have a vital role to play.
The Donation Dogs all have paywave EFTPOS machines on the back of their coats. When you see one out in public, simply 'pat & tap'. Give the dog a pat and tap your credit card to support the incredible journey of another Seeing Eye Dog.
SARDA is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides specially trained search and rescue dogs for Australian Emergency Services to assist in locating missing persons.
Employed in a wide range of emergency situations around Australia, these incredible dogs use airborne scent to locate victims that may be lost or trapped as a result of explosions or natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides and fires.
As a global leader in pet health nutrition, ROYAL CANIN® provides precise and individualised nutrition for every SARDA dog in Australia to ensure they are in excellent health for their training and important work.
